Hi all, im a new subscriber to this chat and still not extreamly knowledgable about wines.

My situation is: I recieved two bottles of 1993 Les Fiefs de Lagrange Bordeaux as a gift. After doing some research on Chateau Lagrange I saw that this wine is actually their second wine and did not have a good year in 1993. I have since found the same wine but with a '95 vintage and picked up a couple bottles as I found to be a good year.

My questions are:

About how much are the bottles of '93 worth?
Should I drink them now or would more aging help?
Because the '95 are reported to be a good year for this wine should I save it and let it age longer.

In answering assume all wines were stored in perfect conditions temperature and humidity wise.

Thanks!

Ben

Hi Ben, and welcome to the Wine Board. We are fans of Les Fiefs. We opened and posted TN on a '93 back on 5/15 under Bordeaux. You have to go back 75 days. In short we loved it, and recommend you drink yours soon.

The '95 is retailing around $30. If you get it, plan on popping it/them in '03.

Highly recommend the '97. It is retailing at $21 and should be ready in '05.

Hi Ben and welcome to the board. About your question on the value of the 93's, no much and they should be opened ASAP as you have found out this wasn't a great year. WW
