Excuse me if this question totally exposed my ignorance to the subject of wine, but I figure if going to learn anything it’ll be by asking. In a reply to another post, winecollector made mention of 1992 being an off year for Bordeaux. Can someone explain why this is? What makes an “off year”? What should I avoid? Thanks for your help.

Hi Visionsof. Off-Years are normally associated with inclement weather. Grapes will absorb rain and there-fore rain at the start of picking makes for diluted, weak tasting wines. Encapsulated answer. WW
