I had a 2000 Alexis Cab Sav, some time back. It was good, good enough that I was thinking of stocking it up (apprx 10 bottles). But I would like to know how long can I keep it before it goes bad, and when will it reach its prime.

I'm not famaliar with the Alexis, but most Cabs will age nicely for 5-7 years, with better ones still evolving at 10+.
For a 2000 vintage, I'd tuck your bottles away until at least mid-2004. Then, try a bottle every six months or so, and note how it changes over time. When you're happy with how the wine is drinking, increase your consumption.
Remember, in wine there are no definitive answers. The best age to drink a wine is when it tastes best TO YOU. Enjoy!

APparently, the wine is selling fast. I tried searching a few of the major wine sellers, but they seem to have run out of stock. I onl have 2 bottles left, it is definately gonna be labelled as a controlled item ! [img]http://www.wines.com/ubb2/smile.gif[/img]
