- RCARKIN - 07-12-2002 Enjoy the wine Principato Rosato but can only get it at an olive garden restaurant-not sold to consumers or merchants. Its a Semi-sweet, light-bodied, with a fresh fruit taste and is Made from a blend of Merlot, Enatio, and Schiava grapes. I AM LOOKING FOR WINES TO TRY WITH THE SAME TASTE - AM WILLING TO TRY OTHER WINES ON A MORE SWEETER TASTE. Thank you. - Innkeeper - 07-12-2002 Hi Rcarkin, and welcome to the Wine Board. The wine you are talking about is the house pour. Glad you like it; I find it cloyingly mellifuous. Try a Reunite Lambrusco. Don't buy a less expensive one. If you like it, look for better (more expensive) ones. - hotwine - 07-12-2002 RC, "rosato" is an Italian rose'. Look for one in the Italian section of any large wineshop. - Thomas - 07-13-2002 yeah, but rosato can also mean a dry rose; if you like the sweet style, follow IK's advice. |
