Hi. While surfing around Wines.com I saw the ad for Wrotham Pinot 2000 Reserve Napa alley sparkling wine for 50 bucks. While I'm not sure my palate is educated enough for this price range of wine, I wondered how well a sparkling wine would cellar. I'm curious if storage in 60-68 degree basement would keep it fresh for my 25th anniversary in a couple of years, or if that type of wine should be consumed relatively soon.

I've started reading "wine for dummies" so maybe I'll get a little more wine smart soon. Thanks,
Winophite

Most sparling wines should hold for a couple of years with no problem. My daughter recently opened a leftover from her wedding for her tenth anniversary. It had been in the fridge the whole time in three different homes, and it drank just fine.
