I am taking my boyfriend out for a romantic birthday dinner at an italian BYOB restaurant. since i obviously don't know what either of us will be eating that evening, im not sure what type of wine to bring. any suggestions? thanks!

Hi Cavallini, and welcome to the Wine Board. If you think one of you may be eating light and the other not too heavy go for a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Cerasuolo which is the biggest rose' in the whole wide world. If you think you both will be going not too heavy, look for a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Rosso which is a red. If you think you might both be eating heavy, look for a Valpolicella Vino Ripasso. This a different wine from a journeyman Valpolicella.
