I would just like to know, since I'm not an expert in wines and would like to know a little info about it, how will you store the wine after it has been opened. 'Cause i would really like to enjoy it for the next day or would like to save it for another gathering or so and it will be such a waste to just throw it away. thanks... This has been a common topic for discussion -- you may want to bring up some earlier posts.
Here's my input -- the key to keeping wine fresh longer than a day is to keep air from contacting the wine. What I do is take empty screw-top bottles from those mini-bottle 4 packs of wine (I think Sutter Home has these), pour the leftover wine into the bottles, and store them in the fridge.

Wine Enthusiast has this neat little number that consist of a 1/2 bottle decanter, 1/4 bottle decanter, glass funnel, cork pin (for suspending the cork on the bottle so you won't forget what the decanter contains [so you won't foget what's in it - for Inkeeper].
Oh and don't forget the two stoppers. They advertise this wonder of technology as a "Six Piece Set" and call it the "Wine for Later Set".

Definitely save your money on the Enthusiast's set and all other gimmicks for more wine and take Anna's approach; it is the best way to save wine, but do not save the wine more than five days or a week.

ANNA! Great idea. I would never had thought of those bottles. Let's see, $4.95 for 4 bottles of colored water, dump that down the sink, and replace with a fine $20.00 wine.
Sounds like a good investment to me.
