I am going to be baking some pizzas in our brick oven this weekend. Any good suggestions for a great wine pairing?

Luianico Rosso Toscana Chianti. Very fruity, great with any tomato based Italian foods.

Banker, suggest you look down the board at the Italian Wines folder. Specific wine depends on what toppings you'll use. For a pizza with lots of Italian cheeses, mushrooms, spinach, all in a tomato sauce, we usually prefer a Barolo, Barbaresco, Barbera (Alba or Asti) or Montepulciano.

Barberas are my favorite Pizza wines.

We just sacrificed a bottle of Amarone with a homemade pizza. It worked well but we're suckers for an Amarone.

Petite Sirah! The natural acidity works great with tomato-based pizza sauces.

Thanks to all for your suggestions - much appreciated!
