My doctor.. yes my Doctor recommended I have a little wine of the evenings to relax. I'm 30 female and do not know much about wine. I've had some Belgium Raspberry Beer and loved it. It was sweet for one thing. I tried table wine at a local Olive Garden and that wasn't for me.
Could any of you recommend a sweet wine that I may enjoy- cold. ?
Thank You!

Hi Davisgal, and welcome to the Wine Board. The wines at Olive Garden are well on the sweet side, so it looks like you want something sweeter. Look for a Lambrusco from Italy. That is about as sweet a red table wine that you can find. For white wine, look for Riesling, Chenin Blanc, or Gewurztraminer that do not say "Dry" in English or "Troken" in German on the label. Most White Zinfandel is also very sweet. Once you get used to some of these we can ease you into drier wines.

Don't know specifically why your doc recommended wine, but if you have high blood pressure, the salt in the food at those restaurants will ultimately do you in...

Oh, take Innkeeper's suggestions to heart. They are good ones.
