Best way that I know to serve merlot is with a clean glass, good food, and within walking distance of my apt in NYC.

I enjoy Matanzas Creek merlot, which is consistently good (though not particularly cheap); Chateau St. Jean makes a reliable one, in large enough quantities for good distribution.

Hi mccrazy and welcome to the board. If you go to the Merlot thread you`ll find everything you need to know about the juice and then some. Anytime you have a question about a particular grape varietal use the thread provided here. Lots of good info. winoweenie..As far as serving, Merlots are like all red wines they should be served at around 65 degrees.
