- greekpete - 04-30-2007 Hello, Is anyone interested or have any idea what a bottle of the above mentioned bordeaux goes for? I ran into a couple of bottles at an estate sale where a doctor had his own wine cellar. I also picked up (3) bottles of Chianti and (2) bottles of a Swiss wine. All from the 50's. - winoweenie - 05-01-2007 Hi GP and welcome to the board. Outside of the curiosity fator the wines are long ago dead soldiers. WW - greekpete - 05-01-2007 Really,..what a shame. Thank God I didnt pay much. Here's what else I picked up: 1954 - Premier Cru Saint-Blaise - Vin De Neuchatel 1953 - Domaine Pilip Coste - Goutted'or 1973 - Bolla Rose 1977 - Sebastiani - Green Hungarian - california 1981 - Soave - Brossa - White 1990 - Concha y Toro - Cab S. 1992 - Ruffino - Chianti * Fal Fiole Du Pape - Red (8) bottles of home made champagne Labeled in 1967 (I opened a chilled bottle and I was quite good only without the fizz.)Should I just keep them for show? Thanks for your input. Pete - winoweenie - 05-02-2007 The cab and Chianti MAY be drinkable. The others are long dead soldiers. Should make intersting conversation pieces. WW |
