- NikiJane - 09-11-2005 Im having a birthday party for my husband and want to have a variety of wines that will go well with dinner we are having mexican food. any suggestions? thanks Niki - hotwine - 09-12-2005 Welcome to the board, NJ. Suggest you look for a Rioja Crianza. One of our favorites is Palacio de Sada; we enjoyed it last night with barbequed chicken and ranch-style beans, but it's even better with Mexican food. - winoweenie - 09-12-2005 Hi Niki and welcome to the board. I like a nice medium bodied zinfandel such as Bogle or Rosenblums California bottling. Are the horses running yet? WW - Innkeeper - 09-12-2005 Excellent advice above, but if you happen to be in the market for a white wine, for example with Seviche, try a Gewurtztraminer. - Bucko - 09-12-2005 Aarrgghh! Sparklers! Sparklers! Serve an inexpensive Sparkler like Korbel Brut. - NikiJane - 09-12-2005 thanks all for your excellent advice. as you can tell im new here. For WW the horses just quit running labor day. |
