I am new at the wine drinking. I am really starting to explore wines by drinking Chianti wines. I am also into red wines due to the fact I heard from Dr's and read about red wines are good for your heart. What other red wines are good tasting and can drink with the ladies?

Hi ct91 and welcome to the board. Seems you have a leg up on most novice drinkers as they normally go with blush botlings. The red wine grape of choice 'mongst most of the ladies I know is Merlot. Lots to choose from and a mellow drink it 'tis. Grab one at the grocery and try it. Stay away from the 98 vintage. Have funskie! WW

Ct91, Chianti certainly is an interesting choice for a novice. If you like Chianti you might find many Merlots a bit "soft"--maybe you should go in for an Australian wine like Shiraz (Syrah, if it is a French wine). Or, if you want to stay with Italian, Dolcetto might please you.
Or you can put Italian and Merlot together by getting a hold of a Merlot from an Italian region called Friuli Venezia Giulia.
I notice, however, that you are in Pennsylvania--not exactly the world's best selection of wine shops in that controlled state.

Beaujolais (especially from one of the cru districts such as Fleurie, Brouilly, Chiroubles, Moulin-a-Vent) might also be popular with the ladies. And the Australian shiraz is a good suggestion. I'm particular about merlots--like a couple from California or Italy but many leave me cold.
