Hi,

I have loved wine all my life, but never new how real wine tasters go about their business. Now I found this article:
http://www.ask-the-wine-expert.com/basic-wine-knowledge.htm
about wine tasting which helped me alot, but do you guys have good sites or pointers on what I should take into account when tasting wines.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the board.
We often recommend a couple books to help in tasting and learning about wines and pairing them with foods. Andrea Immer's "Great Wines Made Simple" and the "Wine for Dummies" are good tools in learning to appreciate wine. They cover the basics about tasting, storing, serving and pairing wine.

I agree with the recommendations above. Since you live in Singapore you may be able to find the England published "Essential Winetasting" by Michael Schuster, more easily. It is a little more advanced than the other two, buy also very useful.
