Hi all..
Perhaps I purchased without doing my homework but a buddy asked me if I wanted to split a case of 99 BV Tapestry. I thought the price ($31/bottle) was pretty good and went ahead.
Then, in doing some homework on the wine found a colum in winespectator.com by James Laube (9/27/02) titled Beaulieu Vineyard's Red Wine Woes. The column was all about high levels of trichloroanisole (TCA), which poses no health risk but could mar the taste causing a moldy, musty flavor.
My question is what, if anything, has TCA done to my Tapestry? Is it still good wine? Has anyone had the Tapestry and found a moldy, cement like taste? Should it be tossed? Any info/advice would be appreciated.

I'm not sure about Tapestry, but TCA is cork taint. Cork taint is believed to be the ruin of from 3 to 6 percent of all wine produced.
