I hear you, Foodie. I've seen examples in which the cases were upside down, but the bottles inside were rightside up... and vice versa. There's no consistency in packaging, storage or display.

Hello
Ok got myself a wine rack and so where do I put this rack? on the kitchen counter or what? I've got 4 bottles of wine ready to put on the winerack but don't have a clue where the right area this should go.

Put the rack in the coolest place in your house, hopefully where the temperature stays between 55 and 72 degrees. You want to avoid extreme temperatures (mainly heat), and maintain a fairly consistent humidity as well. I think the humidity is supposed to be around 50 to 60 percent.

Definitely not on the kitchen counter. The kitchen is the worst place to keep wine; the temperature fluctuates a lot because of the stove, refrigerator, microwave, etc.
