- Duane Meissner - 05-25-2001 posted this in the "wine/food" section and didn't get a response... thought I'd try it here... let me know if I should re-phrase my question: "I just tried my first Manischewitz today... WOW... ya'll were right... it IS sweet. Is it possible to pair up the wine with a certain food to tone it down a little? I just tried a glass by itself, and it was a little too sweet, even for me. (I had the concord grape)" Another interesting thing I found... when I rinsed out my glass after I finished the manischewitz, the water turned blue?! No, I wasn't drunk What's the deal with that? (the wine is an obvious deep purple, nuthin blue about it) Duane - Thomas - 05-25-2001 Duane, You might have sulfurous water. - winoweenie - 05-25-2001 Duane, Sorry but you mite have posted a question that noone on the board could answer. I have no idea what food to serve with Mani as I have no experience with the wine. WW - winepoppi - 05-28-2001 Duane, try chopped chicken liver, brisket, roasted chicken, potato latkas and any thing else you might be served at a Passover dinner. |
