- rred - 12-04-2003 hi everyone i just started drinking wine...i went to the san antonio winery and tried lambrusco and fell in love with it..is there any wine in the same taste category i could order when i am out in a bar..i like the fruity taste of it..i dont really like the dry wines..i will appreciate it if anyone could help - Innkeeper - 12-04-2003 Hi Rred, and welcome to the Wine Board. Wines made from the lambrusco grape and made into a wine by the same name are widely available. Since I don't know where you live or where the San Antonio Winery is, it is hard to speculate what the bars in your area might offer. In my neck of the woods Lambrusco is easily found in stores and supermarkets, but rarely seen in bars. Try just asking for a sweet or off dry red wine. - wondersofwine - 12-04-2003 You might try Valpolicella (widely available in Italian restaurants). It is usually fruity and not harsh. - Kcwhippet - 12-04-2003 IK, If I recall from years ago, San Antonio Winery is somewhere near Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. Perhaps we should direct rred over to Roberto's shop to get started. - rred - 12-04-2003 thank you everyone for replying...the san antonio winery is in los angeles... |
