Hi Rred, and welcome to the Wine Board. Wines made from the lambrusco grape and made into a wine by the same name are widely available. Since I don't know where you live or where the San Antonio Winery is, it is hard to speculate what the bars in your area might offer. In my neck of the woods Lambrusco is easily found in stores and supermarkets, but rarely seen in bars. Try just asking for a sweet or off dry red wine.

You might try Valpolicella (widely available in Italian restaurants). It is usually fruity and not harsh.

IK,

If I recall from years ago, San Antonio Winery is somewhere near Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. Perhaps we should direct rred over to Roberto's shop to get started.
