Is it correct that you only serve red wines at room temp and whites refriged?

Hi Corky, and welcome to the Wine Board. Not zizactly. Most rooms are too warm for reds, and most fridges are too cold for whites. Most red wine should be served at 65 degrees F, and most whites at 55 degrees. As they say in Hawaii, how you figger dat? First, check the temp the wine is stored at with a thermometor. If cooling is necessary put in the fridge for ten minutes per degree, or an ice bucket filled with ice and then water for one minute per degree.
