Hi Dodgegm, and welcome to the Wine Board. For white wines try off dry Riesling, Chenin Blanc, or Muscat. For reds your best bet is visit a local winery: http://www.alabamawines.net/map.asp It is hard to find sweet reds in the store other than Reunite, but just about all wineries east of Rocky Mountains make them!

Hi!

I'm a beer drinker too! There is just something about the crispness and man I love the bubbles!

I would try a Prosecco which is an Italian sparkling wine. Get one that is "extra dry". Don't panic. Extra dry is actually sweeter than Brut (dry). It's a great wine to jump from beer to wine.

Also, it's very easy to drink beer alone. I have a really hard time drinking wine without food.

Make yourself a really nice dinner and pop the cork! Once food is introduced the wine will change.

magic!
