Well here it goes, my first post. I was wondering why the more sweet the wine the more it seems like it is shunned by the wine community. I like a sweeter wine, not candy like but more like a white zin. I try to find different types of wine to taste but everything seems to be dry or very dry. any help would be greatly appreciated.

QUALITY sweet wines are not shunned by enophiles, as evidenced by the popularity of German Rieslings (Auslese, BA, TBA) and Loire sweet wines.

Sadly, most sweet wines from the New World are plonk, lacking acidity and character.
