OK,,,I know,,,the spelling is all wrong,,,but ya get my drift....Does this web site have a place I can go to learn about all the Buzz words??? I don't know a Sangria from a Port! But I want to learn. And I promise, I'll learn to spell it all too!...LOL. Also, what designates a wine a champagne? Why is one wine red, one white, one a rosea??? What is a dessert wine?? A dinner wine?? Etc.! Soooooooo many questions!!! I find it all very interesting!

Hi there SS and welcome to the board. As one Okie to another, wine do be fun. As we've done for many years the best book IMHO out there for basics is the Dummies Series, " Wine for Dummies". That sucker'll answer most of those nagging questions. Come back anytime for specific problems. WW

Thank you ....

You're an Okie Huh?? My Daughter mentioned a wine she tried at in-laws a few weeks ago that is made here in Oklahma. She said it was very good, so I am going to ask her for more inf on it. I didn't even know Oklahoma had a winery!...
Husband tried to purchase us a few bottles of Asti Cinzano this morning,,,clerk said all of Oklahoma was out of it! So he picked some Banfi Rosa Regale instead. Those 2 are my favorites so far....if you know of any simular, please let me know. Thanks again..

Hi agin there SS and let me clarify. I was boen and grew up in Okla. I now reside in Az, and like Okla, we produce what passes for wine. As you spend more time on the board you'll see my wine interests are very focused. Happy new yar and come back often. WW
