I don't drink wine but like to buy it for my sister. I know what she likes as far as taste (slightly sweet, etc.) and used to have an online reference where they rated dryness and sweetness of the wines. Does anyone know this web address?

You don't drink wine? You should, it's good for you. There are many sites including this one that can give you the answers you want. You should know that for many grapes, it is not a one size fits all situation. Riesling for example can be made into wines that range for bone dry to cloyingly sweet. The best bet is to get to know the folks in a local wine store, and ask their advice. Or, come here and ask specific questions (on just one thread please) on specific wines and we will give you the best answeres possible.

I don't think it's a question of not liking wine, just the not knowing. Thanks for your help. I will foward this website to my sister. Great information.
