- marleyplaydead - 02-14-2003 having grilled chicken kebob with yogurt and various sides (hummus, tabouli, etc.) i have chardonnay, merlot, and cabernet in the house. which should i open? - mrdutton - 02-15-2003 Beer........ - Innkeeper - 02-15-2003 Pretty much in the order that you listed them. If the chardonnay is light and/or insipid go with the merlot. - Thomas - 02-15-2003 Not knowing which they are (producers) makes me unsure about the three you have in the house, but they generally are not the wines I would think of with the foods you list. I like the beer answer, but I think a semi-dry Riesling would work too, and maybe a spicy Mourvedre. - marleyplaydead - 02-15-2003 thanks. the chardonnays are penfolds thomas hyland and rosemount estate both 2001 - Innkeeper - 02-15-2003 The Penfolds might work. - joeyz6 - 02-15-2003 I was also thinking off-dry Riesling; or Alsace Pinot Gris, maybe. |
