Hello Wines.com! This is my first post on your website - just getting interested in wines.
What prompted me to check your website is that I am having trouble locating a specific kind of wine I was given as a gift. I really liked it, but am having trouble purchasing another bottle. I'm pretty sure it's not that rare, but I can't find a bottle anywhere.
It was a 1996 Kendall Jackson Vintner's Reserve Merlot. Any ideas? Are there good websites to purchase from? Thanks for your help!

This is a very common wine. The 1996 is probably unavailable now. I believe they have the 98's and 99's on the shelf right now. You should be able to find it in any grocery store. Probably about eyelevel on a shelf.

Hi DF2 and welcome to the board. Barnsey gave you good advice. You might also go to the Merlot thread on the board and check out the postings for the last few months. Lots of tasty juice out there that you can experiment with. Have fun. WW

While you are looking over the shelves for the KJ Merlot, try this one instead:
KJ Collage - Zinfandel-Syrah. A fairly decent blend and much more enjoyable on the palate than Merlot, in my opinion.
