I love to have a glass of wine daily but I have been drinking the same 2 kinds of wine for the last 2-3 yrs, and those were recommended by someone. I am a white wine lover-someting with a little sweetness to it--don't care for red or dry wines. Could someone give me some suggestions on what wines to try. Hi Dillio, and welcome to the Wine Board. You might want to try off dry versions of Riesling, Chenin Blanc, and Gewurztraminer.

If you can find Gruener Veltliner you might like that as well as Viognier. I'm not sure what you are drinking currently, but if you have any wine bars around you can do a white flight which will help you figure out what you like.

My best advice is to attend a tasting that has a wide variety of wines and take your notebook. You'll get exposed to many wines, take notes as far as what you liked and why and if you don't like a particular wine, you are not "stuck" with a whole bottle. Then come back and buy the ones you liked. Don't limit yourself to just the "sweet" wines when you taste. You may find that you'll like some that aren't as sweet as your taste preferences evolve.
