Hello
My name is Aurelio from Puerto Rico
I’m wondering if you can answer me a question about an
1939 AGE Bodegas Unidas, Rioja Siglo Saco Rosso
I like very much to enjoy the great taste and flavors of good wines but some friend that have a very good collection of wine gift me this bottle and I want to know???
What is the life for this bottle?
Which are the proper storing conditions (Temp and humidity) for that bottle?
How I can identified if the wine is drinkable or not?
I appreciate if you can help me

Proper temperature is about 55 degrees Fahrenheit with 70% humidity. With that much age, the cork may have developed leaks unless it was recorked at some time. If the cork has shrunk, the wine may be oxidized (exposed to oxygen) and ruined. I am not familiar with the particular wine (or an expert on Spanish wines) so am unable to tell you if still drinkable if well cellared all these years. Maybe someone else will offer their opinion. Does the fill line of the wine come close to the cork or does there appear to have been some evaporation?

I can see the level of the wine because the bottle is cover with a sack.

Welcome Aurelio,
Ultimately the only way to know about the wine is to drink it. With such an old bottle you would likely find many people wanting to try it. If you find it is no longer drinkable then just make sure you have a backup bottle.
