Hello all, I am a newbie! .My interest has been peaked by a trip to a wine festival, there for I am in the dark at the moment.

I was in Germany earlier this year and picked up a couple of bottles of wine. The first is Oltrepo Pavese Bonarda Dolce - which I understand is a Red sweet wine, (My favorite so far) and the other is Lambrusco Bianco Emilia Amabile. There is a sticker at the top which reads Cantina Sociale Gualtieri Lambrusco Bianco Amabile. From what I can understand from that is that it is a white wine and maybe even a social wine at that (clueless)? There are no dates on the Bonarda, but there is a date of 2003 on the Bianco. Can anyone shed some light on these? Thanks in advance for your help...

Welcome to the board. If you ask about other wines we may be able to help.

Even if it is distributed around Europe, there is such a plethora of Italian Wine, that only about 10% of it gets across the ocean.
