All,
I have a small collection of wine (40 ro so bottles) and am about to move with a job change. My question deals with taking care of the whites. Can I allow them to be packed, reach room temperature and recool or will they be "skunked"? Am I looking at throwing a large wine party before I go? Thanks in advance.

They are fine reaching room tempatature. I wouldnt suggest leaving them in the sun or extreme hot or cold but room temparature will not damage them. Same goes for reds its more the rapid changes in temp or extremes that will bake your wine.

Hi Cowpoke, and welcome to the Wine Board. If you are moving them anywhere in North America this time of year, don't worry too much about temps. Do recommend moving them yourself. I always move my own wine and guns.

I agree. Wine and guns are sensitive and personal. Just for s&g, how many guns do you have IK? My collection has shrunk to nine, including my flintlock and caplock rifles.

At one time I had fifteen. Seems like a lot now. How things change when a child is born!
