I had a few bottles of wine this weekend and I would like to leave a few of my notes. I post in the Novice Section because these are novice reviews
Dom Perignon Brute 1996 - First drink very sour, but after that it was smooth and fresh. I faintly remember apples and lemon on my tongue. Half way through the bottle, my fiance and i were eating godiva chocolate truffles and it amazed me how i did not get the toothpaste and OJ with the DP and truffles
Silver Oak Cab, Alexander Valley, 2001 - Almost dry but contained many levels of flavors. As the wine opened up, it went through chocolate, vanilla and berries. Very smooth and worth slurping every drink.
Stags Leap Cab, 2003 - HOLY COW! dry even after decanting, but the finish was something of a vanilla/caramel flavor. WOW! How do they make a grape taste like this?
Iron Horse, Wedding Cuvee, 2001 - Very brut but crisp and clean. After the DP, nothing would compare that weekend. very Zesty.
I had a few others, but as you can see, my note taking was little to nonexistant. I hope i didn't butcher these great wines up too bad. I know I enjoyed them and have spoiled myself. The Stags Leap is by far my favorite Cab!

I vaguely recall hearing about Stags Leap, your review aroused my curiousity again.
I wouldn't mind trying a bottle of the Iron Horse as well.
