I am allergic to oak, therefore cannot drink wines aged in oak. I've found quite a few nice whites to drink but would love to also try some reds if possible. I've been googling with no success. Any suggestions?

Hi Nkrtwx, and welcome to the Wine Board. Wow! I've heard of people who have an aversion to oak but never before one who was allergic to it. In less than a month the '06 Beaujolais Nouveau will be out. It has no oak. Most what I call plain ole Beaujolais (just the name, no Villages or Nouveau following) is pretty clean too. Even Beaujolais villages will have either none or just a modicum. That's a start for you.
