Help.

I'm an Aussie living in New York and have been invited to experience my first Thanksgiving (I'm told its almost as good as a sunday barbie). I offered to bring some beers but my hosts asked if I could grap a couple of Australian reds "since I would be familiar with them;" which I'm not.

I'd like to take something they may not be familiar with (so no Lindemans, Rosemount, etc) and is still in my $ range ($20per).

Somebody suggested Jacobs Creek. What do you think?

I like Mount Adam Pinot Noir.

Anyone who knows Lindemand and Rosemount would surely know about Jacob's Creek - it's a marketing phenomenon, not a vinous experience. Why not take something from Western Australia? You probably won't be able to afford anything good from the Margaret River, but you should be able to buy something interesting from the Mount Barker area (Plantagenet and Goundry are available at this price in the US, possibly others too).
