- Duce - 09-05-2006 Hello: What would be a good Italian wine that I could use, as a glaze(mixed with surgars), on top of an espresso swet bread? I need a wine that will complement the espresso. thx - Innkeeper - 09-05-2006 Lambrusco will work. - Duce - 09-06-2006 thx...InKeeper - Duce - 09-06-2006 Would you suggest the dry or slightly sweet Lambrusco? THX - Innkeeper - 09-06-2006 Slightly sweet. - wdonovan - 09-07-2006 I'd go for the Braschetto di Acquii (sorry for trashing the spelling). Hints of rose and raspberry. The bubbles may even lend to a light and airy glaze if not beat up too much. This of course, if it's not the other 'sweetbreads'. That would be bad. |
