I was in my little county line package store yesterday and heard a lady exclaiming about a bottle of wine she had found on the shelf. She turned to me as I was the closest one standing to her and explained that she had visited the vineyard, Bully Hills Vineyard, in New York. She said it was a really fun place and she left with a couple of bottles of wine she had tasted and loved. She had looked for it locally with no luck. The store did not have the wine she particularly liked but they did have one named "Sweet Walter". Since I prefer sweeter wines and the label stated this was a sweet after dinner red wine, I bought it. Any one familiar with this wine? I hope it isn't dreck. I was surprised to see NY produced wine at a little package store named Big Dog's in East Texas.

Let's put it this way. First of all I'm tolerant of a lot of wine, including some that others won't drink. Secondly, I love to go by Bully Hill when in the Finger Lakes. The food is excellent, and the view is breathtaking. I drink beer with my food.

Oh well, it only cost me $8.
