I am being offered this particular bottle of wine for a very meager price- I'm real curious whether it is still drinkable or not. I am being told it has been stored under the best conditions. I'm not real interested in it's value, but if you have an idea, I am a little bit curious. Thanks ahead of time for the advice.

Monohan, welcome to the board. The wine could still be drinkable as it`s a St Estephe which, generally, age well. I`ve never been a fan of the 78`s as most of them never lived up to the hype. If this bottle has been stored under ideal conditions, it`s worth a few bob to try it.Meyney falls into the "very good" area as far as producers go. My idea of the bobs I`d gamble are from 20 to 30. WW
