How long does an unopened bottle of dessert wine usually last?

Hi Tony and welcome to the Wine Board. You were not very specific, but generally speaking - a long, long time. If you expose it to high heat (much over 70 degrees F) for long periods, even a dessert wine can cook.

Hopefully as I learn more my questions will become more specific. Thank you!

Stickin' my neck out a little but... I'm betting IK is thinking TBA, Sauternes, eiswein, etc. Not Mogen David or Maneschevitz.
