- AgentNine - 12-19-2002 Hi folks... My name is Leslie and I am from Long Island, New York. I am new to winemaking, but am really interested in learning about how to produce fantastic wines from my area. I'm hoping to meet a few people who share my interests, develop some nice friendships, and even pick up a tip or two from the masters. Anyone interested can contact me at my e-mail address, and I would greatly appreciate it. Excelsior!! - Innkeeper - 12-19-2002 Hi Leslie, and a warm welcome to the Wine Board. Please visit the "Home Winemaking" thread near the bottom of the board. Use the "Go" function to research all that has been written there. Bad timing on my part. When I grew up on Long Island, all they had was potatoes and ducks. - AgentNine - 12-19-2002 We still for the most part are just ducks and potatoes, but we're advancing slowly... Thanks and good to meet you. - winoweenie - 12-19-2002 Hi agentnine and welcome to the board. The most learned winemaker on the board from your area is Foodie who now has a great wine shop in New York. He has been there and done that and still dabbles. Contact the ole' master.
