My boyfriend and I are new to drinking wine. We started about 2 weeks ago, when my boss gave us a bottle. We have tried a few since then, but have not fell in love with anything yet. Would someone please recommend a light white wine, that is a little sweet and/or fruity? Thank you.

I'm sure that there will be other recommendations but I would suggest that you look for:

(1) German Rieslings
(2) Moscato d'asti (sparking wine)

these two are both great starter wines and the riesling is actually much loved by more serious wine buffs.

You might also want to try a Vinho Verde from Portugal. They are very nice, light whites that have a tiny bit of sweetness and citrus notes. Also, they have a bit of spritz that's quite pleasant.
