- ROCK-A-BO - 08-20-2004 how long is a bottle of wine good after you open it? - winoweenie - 08-20-2004 This has been answered at least a gazillion times on this thread. Go back on the board for 100 days and you'll probably find 2 or 7 of them. (Give or take 24 hours) WW - ROCK-A-BO - 08-20-2004 a simple couple days would have been good. but thanks for the input. - Kcwhippet - 08-20-2004 Depends on the wine and where you keep it after you open it. Left on the counter - about 24 hours. Recorked and in the fridge - about 2-3 days. Sprayed with Private Preserve - about a week. Lots of variables involved. - ROCK-A-BO - 08-20-2004 thanks.... now see how easy that was wino... - winoweenie - 08-20-2004 Yeppo Rock and hope you and KC can keep a straight face whenced drinking a bottle after a week. Vinegar under any other name is still sour. Wine deterioates quickly unless it's fortified after opening. WW ( And again a simple search would have given you the annswer more quickly than all of this posting) WW - californiagirl - 08-20-2004 Smile ww- and be nice It's the novice board- same questions come up all the time. (PS- down 7lbs- slow going.) - Innkeeper - 08-21-2004 Welcome to the Board Rock. A very effective yet inexpensive read is "2004 Wine Buying Guide for Everyone" by Andrea Immer. In it she gives after opening shelf life for over 600 widely distributed wines by names of wines and producers. - winoweenie - 08-21-2004 Sorry there all I musta' forgot my favorite lil' smiley . Use it so much sometimes I guess I think it'll post itself.
