Anyone have any experience with Woodenhead Pinots or Zins? I've got some coming my way this week and am interested in some opinions.

Thanks anyway I.K. I got two of their wines this weekend.A 2002 Braccialini Vineyards Zinfandel, Alexander Valley coming in at 16.5% Alc, and their 2002 Elk Prairie Vineyard Pinot Noir, Humboldt County. From what I understand the use the winemaking equipment at Topolos to make their wines. I'll post tasting notes when I try their wines but being 2002 vintage that may be a while.

I own the winery where they make their wine and am the founder of the Pinotfestival.com , and Woodenheads wine is top notch. I value their pinots as among the finest made in the state.

Eric, thanks for the info. It looks like the Pinotfestival is the place to be if you want to try some great PN. I fell in love with Sonoma when I came out there last spring. Next time I come out I'll have to plan my timing a little better and make it to a festival.

Glad to see Merry Edwards's wines and Brian Loring's wines get very good ratings too. I believe it is the Merry Edwards Windsor Gardens that will not be available in future vintages because the vineyard was sold.
