A cousin who knows that I like to try different wines recommended that I try a White Merlot. I've never heard of this and was wondering if anyone could give me an opinion and an idea of what it could be served with.

I heard someone (I think Forest Glen or Forestville) was making a white Merlot a few years ago, but it didn't meet with too much consumer appeal. It's really not much different than white Zinfandel, another blush (Jerry Mead's term) wine made from a red grape. So, if you like white Zinfandel, you might like the white Merlot. They both fall into the category called Kalifornia KoolAid.

Hi Archit, and welcome to the Wine Board. Beringer makes one, and I've tried it. It is not a world beater, but better than than most White Zins I've tried.
