I have two 750ml bottles in good shape. Not kept in cellar, but in stable temp. One is a 1977, the other 1981. Could anyone please estimate the value and opportunities to sell?

Thank you,

wrasse

Mouton-Cadet is a very nice everyday $10.00, merlot based, wine. It does not appreciate with age. Your bottles may still be all right to drink, but this wine is not vinified with much complexity. When you open them, you may want to have a more current vintage standing by.

Hi Wrasse and welcome to the board. Mouton-Cadet is a volume product that is bought in bulk, bottled and marketed in the umbrella of Mouton Rothschild. 1977 was a miserable year and evewn the 1st groth is gone. 81 was a little better but again, the 1st growth ( Mouton Rothschild ) is about history. Age " Do not make a good wine " is only applicable when the wine is from a great vineyard in a great year. Sorry.Winoweenie
