- GreggJ - 04-15-2005 I have a total of 100-125 bottles so 8-10 cases, some to age i'd say 3-4 cases, but the majority is to satisfy my impulsive need for the right wine to suit my craving du jour. - winoweenie - 04-15-2005 Made the necessary edit. WW - tw - 04-16-2005 WW i was just messin with ya, I understand there was likely some exageration in there, but if not im on my way. Though I spent much of my childhood growing up in suburban Chicago, my family all lives in Wisconsin, I spent my summers on Lake Ripley in Cambridge, and for the last 15 years my father has had a place in Williams Bay on Lake Geneva. Both sides of my family tree run through Beloit. I've spent a lot of time in Milwaukee through the years, though not as much lately. Still miss Packer games at the old County Stadium. - tw - 04-16-2005 I love it here. I live far enough outside the city so the traffic isnt bad as well as other down town type stuff. At the same time though its only a 20 min ride so I can get down there when i need to without problem. The only thing i dislike is the winter. - winoweenie - 04-16-2005 I have the same problem here. WW - wondersofwine - 04-19-2005 I'm probably up to 250-300 bottles without a proper cellar for storage. It's taking over hallways and part of the guest bedroom. - hotwine - 04-19-2005 Wonders, since you like burgs/PNs, suspect it could be tricky to even find a decent racking system for them. The welded rod type from Sam's Club work OK.... less than $60 to accommodate 168 btls. And they're on casters, so you could race them in your hallway. - wondersofwine - 04-19-2005 That's a mental picture! I may be moving this summer or fall (within Fayetteville area) and hope to purchase a wine storage unit (maybe for 150-200 bottles). If so, would use it for the more expensive wines that need aging. Got to have some more parties to use up some of those bottles! - Glass_A_Day - 04-19-2005 Twelve cases of everyday stuff in rotation here and about 120 bottles of the $$$ ilk hiding. - glenora - 04-20-2005 WW Your comment--"Got to have some more parties to use up some of those bottles!" Is that an invitation to the "2006" board's off-line event? - winoweenie - 04-20-2005 I know the memory's the 2nd thing to go but I'm having trouble bememberin' that remark. WW - wondersofwine - 04-20-2005 That was WOW, not WW. Somehow I don't think you want to offline in Fayetteville, NC. |
