I might need innkeepers help on this one, or perhaps the infamous winoweenie. I just received a bottle of Chateau Cos d'Estournel 1989 as a gift from a very very generous friend. I know the importance of this wine, unfortunately, I'm ignorant as to the price of an '89. Does anyone have a figure?
Thanks per'ol cock .

You have an excellent specimen from one of the best Bordeaux vintages ever. There is, for some reason, a lot of it still around. The average price is around $100.00. Surely you want this info for your own edification, since you well know that around here we think wine is for drinking, not investing. As for the drinking part, would wait three or four more years.

Peergamum, Cos` happens to be one of my favorite St. Estephes`. A 2nd growth that is separated from Lafite-R by only a teeny river.( If it`s important -Ok IK I looked it up " La Jalle du Breuil ) 60% Cab, 40% Merlot. Ages its` patootie off in top vintages. ( You`ll gum the cork off by the time that sucker has peaked ) Have had some fantastic bottles of this babny. Luck-Bum. Winoweenie

Can't add to IK and WW's posts except to say that I did not know WW was infamous. I know he is opinionated, and often out to lunch, but evil intentions??????
