- banna - 04-13-2006 I want to buy a nice dinner wine for the one friend of whom I normally ask wine advice. Without him to help me, I am lost! I have a very small selection to choose from, and yet still I cannot make a choice. Among these, which would my wine-savvy friend recognize as "the best", assuming that he would enjoy any of them as a dinner wine? - Le Cinciole Chianti Classico 2001 – Tuscany - Geografico Montegiachi Chianti Classico Riserva 2000 - Falesco Vitiano IGT 2002 - Paitin Dolcetto D’Alba 2001 - La Sera Barbera del Piedmonte “Il Falo†2002 - Amano Primativo 2002 - Il Circo Montepulciano 2002 - Zenato Valpolicella Classico Superiore DOC 2000 - Cantine del Taburno Anglianico “Fidelis†2000 - Fazi Battaglia Verdicchio Classico NV - Ferrara Greco di Tufo 2002 - Tiefenbrunner Chardonnay 2003 - Zenato Lugana Trebbiano DOC 2003 - Tedeschi Monte Tenda Soave 2003 - Teruzzi & Puthod Vernaccia DOCG 2002 - Kris Pinot Grigio Delle Venezie IGT 2003 - hotwine - 04-13-2006 Welcome to the board, Banna. I would view the Zenato Valpolicella Classico Superiore DOC 2000 as being the most "gift-worthy" of those on your list. - banna - 04-13-2006 As the most gift-worthy, is it *particularly* gift-worthy, or is mine a poor selection?
