Golan Moscato Galilee 2005...Had this white wine with a light supper of grilled shrimp with a drizzle of sour cream & jalepeno pepper sauce and a healthy caesar salad, just after 6pm and it was well enjoyed to the last drop. Very light indeed with a lower alcohol content: 6%, sparkling white and very sweet...also makes a great dessert wine. Very refereshing and slurpable with a slight hint of 'soda pop' along the way. Could become a house favourite as it's very appealing to us kosher lovers. I like the Sylvan Ridge Moscato but don't know if it's widely available. I bought it at a wine shop in Oregon. I have tried some kosher wine thanks to a wine tasting club in DC which has a majority Jewish memberhip. I especially liked a sweet wine from Clarksburg, California (I believe it was from Chenin Blanc grapes).

Sounds like a Moscato d' Asti. Sweet but not Sauternes sweet. Bubbly but not Champagne bubbly. Love this style. We drink Sauternes once every couple of weeks but sometimes the M d'Asti is just a nice, light, low alc. wine. After dinner with biscotti. That's my pairing.

I have not found a sweet white wine that I like better than Martin & Weyrich's Muscato Allegro.

"I have not found a sweet white wine that I like better than Martin & Weyrich's Muscato Allegro."

I agree!

The only thing better is eiswine, but who can afford that?

Then I suggest you guys seek out the 2001 Willakenzie Estate Late Harvest Pinot Gris. Wonderful!

Thank you all for all your wonderful replies. Happy Holidays and the best of 2006 is wished for you wine lovers on here. Wishing you happiness, good health & all the simple abundances of the universe. We will be having our family dinner on the traditional day tomorrow, in our warm city here and everyone is cooking something. I am so in love with my new found Moscato wines that I got a Sutter Home 1.5L as an extra filler for dinner. Hope the Sutter Home name comes close to my Golan galilee Moscato that I am so in love with. Cheers all & to all a very good night tonight. Hope Santa is good to you ALL... hahaha Kaz xo

Moscato d'asti is a family holiday tradtion. My favorite is Vietti M d'a. We are trying a new one that I distribute this year, Cerreto. I will post results.

We were having some extreme computer issues and just diddn't take the time to resolve them so only had internet access when we visited relatives. Now everything is fixed and I can return to being a productive wino.
