Please keep in mind I'm NEW!
I had a wine list faxed to me last nite.
There are bin #'s on it. Is that how you order a wine from this list?? If not, what do they stand for??

Bin #s are used on wine lists for two reasons. 1. If you order by the number, neither you nor the waitperson has to pronounce the name of the wine. 2. The waitperson knows right where to go to find the wine, as the "bins" are set up numerically in the wine cellar.

Hi BH and in response. If these are a wine stores inventory then you order with the name of the wine and the bin# where it's stored. Thar's how I keep track of my cellar also. WW
