My wife and I are invited to another couples house tomorrow night for a "hunters banquet". They will be serving pheasant, chuckers, partridge, etc. Actual game from a live hunt made some weeks ago. I have NO IDEA what wine goes with this, but it is what I'm assigned. Also.. there will be 6 of us (3 couples) so 2 bottles? 3 bottles? PLEASE HELP!!

Hi Paul, and welcome to the Wine Board. A wine you should be able to go right out and get (three bottles for six) is Joseph Drouhin, LaForet, Pinot Noir. Otherwise, another light Burgundy or Pinot Noir. One from California that we specially like, if you can find it, is Sonoma Creek.

Trust me, or don't........ But IK is right on with his suggestions.

Get ye unto a good pinot and enjoy your fowl.........

A nice little Cotes du Rhone will work as well.....
