On a recent post someone had mentioned that Bonny Doon now makes a white in addition to their Big House Red. I picked up a bottle and drank it with a linguine and scallops dish (tossed with olive oil, garlic, fresh cilantro & parsely, red pepper).

Although I don't have the taste or vocabulary of some of the vets around here,I can say that we enjoyed it quite a bit. It was crisp, dry, and very aromatic, with loads of fruit up front (grapefruit, citrus, apricot(?)). Full-bodied (13.5% alcohol) and smooth, this is no sissy white (imho).

The label describes it as a blend of SB, riesling, viognier, and malavasia bianco. At $10, I think that it has a great qpr.

Has anyone else tried it?

Not yet, but your excellent TN makes we want to try it John. Good job.
