Hi,
I just recently started enjoying wines after taking a wine tasting class from UC-Berkeley-extension.
I am just wondering whether anyone would recommend any good wine club that ship nice/quality wines? I move back and forth between San Jose area and New mexico. And I don't know whether there's any good wine shops in New Mexico. I figure that it will be easier for me to join wine clubs and get nice quality wines from them.
I just recently joined one from K&L (www.klwines.com) since it is close to my place and the instructor from the class buys wines from there too....

Thanks a lot!

Hi Welton and welcome to the board. I'm not personally enrolled but from everything I know about the organization, Hi Time cellars in Costa Mesa should offer some outstanding wines. You can get info by calling 1-800-331-3005. WW

ALthough I'm not personally in any clubs (a couple bottles a month doesn't make much of a dent) I highly recommend Wine Exchange in Santa Ana (www.winex.com). I have never gone too far wrong going with recommendations in their catalog. A lot of their prices are rock-bottom, so I would suspect the club is a good value. Better thing to do in my mind is get their catalog and order a case when you need it based on your desires and their recommendations. I ususally don't ship from June-September because I think the heat of the average UPS ground shipment is not great for the wine.

Just my two cents, but they are good folks. Any time I egt to travel to Orange County, I always have a box from Wine Exchange to take back on the plane.
